Peter A. DeLisle is a leadership educator and a business advisor to professional organizations.
DeLisle’s background in executive education includes award-winning teaching in engineering, commerce, architecture and education. He is a member of the faculty at the University of Notre Dame’s Stayer Center for Executive Education. He held the William B. Severns Chair in Human Behavior in the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois in Urbana and was a Program Manager for the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs. DeLisle was a human resources executive for Hewlett-Packard Company and founding human resources officer of Convex Computer Corporation of Dallas. He has conducted professional development programs for more than 300 companies and agencies both nationally and internationally, specializing in promoting leadership effectiveness in technology-based organizations. In addition, he has served as resource and advisor to the US Army Cyber Command, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the E.M. Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurial Leadership, American Institute of Architects, and the LBJ School of Public Policy at the University of Texas at Austin.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in human resource development leadership with an emphasis on industry/university collaboration (Phi Kappa Phi) from the College of Education at the University of Texas in Austin. He was named an Honorary Member of the American Institute of Architects in 2014. DeLisle served in the United States Army as a captain of field artillery. He was the distinguished military graduate of the University of Connecticut in 1971.
DeLisle has been married for 45 years to Janice Braem DeLisle. They reside in Torrington, Connecticut and Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts.
